Most often it could mean hemorrhoids. It could have been something red that you ate. It could be colon cancer. See your Doctor asap.

from time to time there are traces of blood in the stool.
that's usually caused by strain on the kidneys and is easily remedied by eating fresh ripe fruit.
if ingesting fresh fruit does not solve the problem, or makes it worse, see your doctor.
if blood in the stool is frequent, or plentiful, see your doctor.

If it's bright red and not actually part of the stool, it's either from a hemorrhoid or a small tear. If it's clotty, dark and within the stool, you need to see a doctor.

If its just the once I wouldn't worry unless theres a lot of blood, then I would consult your gp. It could mean numerous problems which could be minor. If worried seek medical advise.

If it's just a little, keep an eye on the situation, sometimes when you really strain you can tear a little in the rectum. It heals quick.
If it's a lot, go to the ER immediately.

Probaly hemmoroids, try Preparation H. If that doesn't help get your A** to a doctor (pardon the pun) immediately, it could be signs of something worse.

your blood is probably too thin (not a good sign). You seriously need to see a doctor.

It could be a bleeding ulcer. I'd get helpasap, and stay away from most pain relievers becausethey could injure your body more
