I think if you are truly happy and comfortable with yourself then that's great and other people should respect that.
Maybe when your older if you have health probelmes caused by obesity, you will want to lose some weight, but if not then it's your choice and I bet eventually your family will just accept it. They probably think they are helping by adding pressure. But they are most likely just causing a problem where there isn't one. It's your body, yours to shape, tone and dress how you please.

It's not wrong to feel happy with what you have and what you are. It's actually mentally healthy.

But physically, obesity can cause you heart problems and several other diseases which might be deadly. Heck, obesity is the world's third largest death cause. Second is smoking and the first is war. But I'm sure you already know that.

My advice is not to take on a diet, but combine your food better. It's not wrong to have a big or plump body, but it is wrong to have an unhealthy body. Nobody is asking you to have the body of a model. Just lower your weight so it becomes a little overweight. Just not obese.

To lower your weight, manage your food better. Maybe it's not HOW MUCH are you eating, but it's more WHAT are you eating. You can consult more experts but if you wanna make it as casual as possible, there are a lot of food-combining tips on the internet.

I was very fat too a year ago, but know my friends told me I look like a skeleton. I didn't diet and I didn't do sports either. It's just managing the food I ate. Good luck, and remember:
If there is a will, there is a way.

People who love you want you to lose weight because they love you and want you to be healthy and live a long time. Hmmm, that's rough.

Obesity isn't simply a problem of how long you live. It's a problem of how well you live. If ruined knees and ankles and hips appeal to you, keep overeating. If skin stretched and sagged beyond all recognition sounds pretty, go for it. If wheezing your way up a flight of stairs promotes your self-esteen, by all means, keep those pounds.

If you just discovered the joys of obesity a few years ago, you don't yet know all the fun stuff that's in store for you.

No one is trying to step on your ego or damage your self-esteem. People wise enough to know how miserable a future you are creating for yourself want you to take control now, and not wait until the damage is done.

Being obese just isn't about being unattractive. It's about being unhealthy. If you don't care about that, do a little research on the vast and growing costs to society of all this excess poundage. It isn't free for the rest of us, either.

Most of all, take care of yourself. Your family loves you.

Well, at least you will feel good mentally and good mental health does contribute to good physical health. However, as you age you will get more and more health problems because of your obesity. Your blood pressure will rise, you will have trouble getting around, you will be more likely to develop diabetes and heart disease and you will feel hot and tired all the time.

Your question remind me of the movie " Real Women Has Curves" :) Minus any health effects, there is nothing wrong w/ being overweight. As long as you are happy with yourself - more power to you!

I'm also fairly overweight. I tell people that "I may be fat but you are stupid and I can diet if I want to" As long as you feel healthy who cares! Tell them it's your life and you are perfectly happy the way you are. You don't like the way I look quit looking at me then! (My favorite saying)
