My father recently passed away due to cancer. I will miss him so much, but I want to celebrate the life he lived instead of being consumed by grief. I've seen what happens to those who become obsessed by the death of a loved one and I don't want that to happen to me.

I always remember the good times had by those I've lost. I keep pictures so I don't forget the memories of my past friends and family that have passed on. I talk about them to others about their good qualities. feel I was blessed to have known them at all.

I understand. My father passed away due to lung cancer. He was a verteran and he worked for many many years at the walmart. everyone knew him and loved him there so i posted a poem and his picture in the newspaper to honor him.

Never forget all the good times. He will always be there, Just picture him walking in heaven with Jesus. That's what comforts me.

we got a star for our grandpa. you can get one for fairly good price... like $30 and up. When you get it it gives you a map to find the star, and it is in records as their star forever. It is a nice memorial and very time you look to the sky it's like your loved one is looking down and you can almost see their smile twinkling at you. corny? maybe, but i swear that is how it makes me feel.
here are some links to places that do that for you:
