I don't know. I'm in the same situation as you. My hair used to be so long and beautiful and then my mom put a perm in it and it just fell straight out! It was past my breasts before and now its barely past my chin! I'm still looking for hair rowth treatments that work fast before school starts!

OK when you go natural there is a process you have to follow, when you stop getting your hair relaxed and new growth starts to come your hair will naturally start to break off where the new growth stops and the relaxed hair starts. Since you decided to go natural you have to keep your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks and use a good conditioner and reconstructive treatment like aphogee. You will still most likely continue to have shedding until you reach the point that there is no more relaxed hair but all natural hair. You need to decide if this is something you want to do, if you do stick to it, if you think you may want to go back to the relaxer the best thing to do is to go ahead and get it relaxed asap and stick to your relaxer schedule. Some people say they are not getting a relaxer for the summer and things like that, but once you get a relaxer for the first time you need to get one every 4-6 weeks depending on new growth. I normally know it's time for my retouch when my hair starts to shed. That's the snapping at the two points of textures I was talking about earlier. It can be a chore but it's really easy once you decide what you want and what fits your lifestyle. Goodluck...

im black too so take the most of my advice. 5 years ago i had hair past my shoulders and then my hairdresser got jealous and sorta cut it to my chin but now and after that i havent took the best care of my hair so it sorta remained the same length but since then i moved and have a new hairdresser and she takes good care of my hair because she cares more about hair health she told me to stop using ponytail holders and use like hair clips instead. wrap your hair. olive oil on your hair about 2 times a week. i use kera care and aphogee products now and in just a few months my hair grew past my shoulders again. and now its growing longer each week. oh yea and i started excersing and i have a good diet so they may have an impact too. lots of veggies.! and excercise to stimulate your blood flow helping your hair grow

I have the same problem. I'm a guy that is losing my hair. I did nothing to it but my hair line just keeps getting shorter and shorter. I been thinking of using rogain, but I don't know if I should.

you gotta train it back to health.........i still have my length but mine is thinning........what im doing is gettin my hair done every week........washing it...o0o0 and use a really good conditionar thats gonna help a lot ......i would use Pantene for women of color..........or mane and tail and a motions leave in spray depending on the texture of your hair... but do that and leave it on for 45 mins and rinse it and wrap it every night

go to a good stylist every week. they should be doing the maintenance and styling. by going every week, they make sure that you are doing the right stuff- like not too much heat and wrapping it at nite. i know from experience.
