Let Kitty help you find his name. Watch him for a few days and something will come to you that fits him to a tee.

Hey there. I have a pure bred, short hair, British black smoke. The breed originated from crossing an American short hair with a British blue. She turns 18 in October. Her name is "Escha", named after the artist. His pictures depicted visual illusions....just like my cat! Tiny to look at, but huge on character!!!!

I agree that you should match it with his personality or special markings...I also thought that Blueberry was a cute name too, I almost named our grey cat that.
My cat's name's are: Blackberry Merlot, Hurley Greyson, Bashful Basil (not pronounced like the plant), Buttercup Fluffernutter, and our girl cat's name is Willow Scarlett. I do only call them by their first names though. :)
How bout Tuna Roll, Ash, Merlot, Tattoo, Mini-me, Lil' Bit ?
Good luck!

think of your self out calling your cat in the community. Any call that does no longer embarrass you to have your associates hear you call could be effective. I named one Skittles. She exchange right into a stray and ran each and every time we've been given close. It took her awhile to believe us.
