Well, as a believer, and a Catholic, I can tell you that I ran into this dilema when my best friend turned out to be homosexual. We were in school, and I am latinamerican, therefore there was the whole conservative / macho culture to deal with.. I actually went to church to discuss it with a priest, he was a really old priest who I could talk to and really have discussions with, and he had the patience to answer all my questions and help me defend my belief.. anyway.. according to the Catholic Church, God created homosexuals also.. but because it is against the religion, it is not accepted that they consumate their love. As I said before, I am a true believer, but that is one point that I completely disagree with.. Heterosexuals are not "better" than homosexuals.. then why do heterosexuals "deserve" a better life.. a full life, with love, with family.. But it is just a sin.. it's like telling a lie, no one thinks of going to hell because they said on the telephone that they weren't home, just so they wouldn't have to talk to someone they don't like.. Believing in Jesus is how you go to heaven..

Well I have read the Bible, but I am not a religious freak. Being a Christian, in a nutshell is basically to be a good person, treat others with respect and fairness, have positive thoughts and to live a good life and to not hate and only to forgive those around you ! That isnt to hard to go with, if you are a Christian - you will go to heaven.
You dont have to cut someones head off or blow yourself up or kill an infidel - those poor misguided saps are going staight to the firepit and they dont even know it.
But you are generally a good and decent person, you should have nothing to worry about.

Here's how I look at it. First, temptation is not a sin. So if you are tempted to lust after someone of the same sex, it is not a sin so long as you don't give into the temptation. Second, trying really hard to be good won't get you into Heaven, because nobody is capable of being perfect and that's what it takes to get into Heaven. That is exactly why God sent His son Jesus to die for us, because Jesus is perfect and His blood covered the sins of anyone who accepts that covering. I hope that helps.

Good question. Confusing feelings I know.
You are not given eternal life with Christ by "doing/being good". You must A) Admit you are a sinner B) Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and that he died on the Cross for our sins so that we may have eternal life and C) Confess our sins.
As for having "turned on feelings"....this is something to pray about and ask God for directions. It's not healthy and generally thoughts sometimes turn into actions. Pray and ask for God's help as I stated. It's always the best.

You don't get to heaven by trying to be good. A very important point. to remember all your life.
According to Jesus , there is none good but God.
You get into heaven by trusting God. You have to learn how, so faith (trust) comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. You need to learn how.
So Homosexual or not, you can get into heaven IF you trust God, through Christ, who covered those who trust him will his sacrifice.
Homosexuals are no more incapable of trusting God, than the most pious heterosexual.
We all need to trust in Jesus in order to get into heaven. Period.
I would love to see homosexuals who found Christ rejoice in the Spirit right in front of the biggest redneck church in all the world. I hate to think that the homosexuals would feel called by God, and neglect that calling because the rednecks say that they are Christian. The bigots in the churches across America would probably at least in part, would worry about the image of the church that day, more than the fact that there were more Chrtistians that love God more than themselves.
I hope that helped you with your question.

I believe that if the person is a christian, and they ask Jesus to remove those feelings from them, and they don't act on the feelings then they will still go to heaven. The question is are they truely a christian, have they truely turned their heart, life, and soul over to Jesus and asked him to forgive them for their sins and come into their heart. Hopefully they have, then all that remains is telling satan to go away and asking Jesus to help them with their feelings.

You're not acting on it, it is normal to be curious which is probably all it is, if you've accepted Christ into your life and believe in Him then yes you'll go to heaven. I would suggest going to your minister for further counselling though this sounds like something deeper that needs to be addressed by your own Pastor, and don't be afraid to talk to them.

Only God can judge the person. someone can allways have a chance of being saved. Now, beleiving without doing any good deeds will not get you to heaven. you need to do (good) actions to earn heaven. even if you sometimes do bad, there is allways forgiveness.

Well it sounds like you are believing for the wrong reason anyway. This question makes it seem like you are only believeing because you hope that you will someday get a ticket to heaven. Well it doesnt work like that.
