It's fantastic for flatening your tummy and giving you long and lean muscles. I love that it is 0 impact and the moves are simple (yet challenging) works for me, I fing it so relaxing too. You can't hurt yourself if you master the first basic moves and really concentrate on your breathing. You first have to learn to keep a good posture, breathe and tighten your core during all of your moves. Having a strong core is the key to your sucess. You have to master the first three principals and you will have a safe and sucessfull time with pilates. A good book is called Pilates Body Conditioning by Anna Selby and Alan Herdman. It gives you all of the steps you need with pictures so you know if you are doing it right. A very good book for begginers! Check it out! :)

I merely began doing pilates in the previous this week... i've got not considered the consequence of it yet, yet I specific do experience them. Pilates isn't user-friendly additionally, you may shop at it... this is form of uncomfortable, yet once you're persistent you will get used to it. no longer something happens over evening, questioning you will see leads to each week is somewhat unrealistic. that must be the case for some, yet no longer others.

Pilates is more for strengthening muscles. If you want to lose weight, take up a cardio exercise, like swimming or running.

Pilates works well, but you have to be careful, it's easy to injure yourself. According to my chiropractor, too much pilates can be bad for your back as it strengthen certain muscles in your stomach that will eventually sway your back. Not sure if it's true, but that's what he said.
