your local pet store should have something fairly cheap for ear mites..

Might as well get the regulat ear drops at a pet store. Most earache drops (even for kids) contain a carbaryl compound (insecticide). Mixing up a home remedy will cost the same or more.

I've not tried it myself but I have heard that a thin layer of cooking oil applied with a q tip will smother the mites. Ear mite med. doesn't cost that much at all though.

Tea Tree Oil (100% Pure) applied to a cotton ball, but do not over soak the cotton ball. Clean the inside of the pets ears with this. It works fairly well.

go to WalMart pet department and buy product. Keep extra hair in pets ears pulled out. It is only slightly uncomfortable.
