I went through that last year with my daughter. Her permenant teeth were coming in behind the loose ones, and she would not even let me look at them. I tried to force her to let me see, or let me pull them...BAD IDEA. I took her to the dentist, and she wouldn't let him either. Her teacher told me that her daughter was like that and she just left her alone, and it was fine. So, I took her advice and they came out on their own. And her permenant teeth moved into place once the baby teeth were gone.

Just leave it alone. It will fall out soon enough. I have a 6 year that was afraid to let me touch his tooth. After his first tooth fell out and the tooth fairy came he pulled out the second tooth just to get some money.

One thing I learned with my kids is that there is NO convincing them that it won't hurt. My suggestion is to frequently ask him to show you how it wiggles. Make it a game. The more he wiggles it, the looser it will get. It will come out on his own. Also make sure you tell him about how the tooth fairy leaves money under his pillow if he leaves the tooth under there for the tooth fairy. The combination of those tow things should speed the process up. Always worked for all three of my kids. : )

Starbursts or Now and Laters (or any other sticky candy.) My Kindergarteners love extracting their own teeth this way. I always make sure that they take the candy out to look at it before they eat it so they don't accidently swallow their tooth. I discovered this method by accident when I was a little kid and I discovered my tooth in a Now and Later (didn't know it was even loose.) It scared us to death and we rushed to the dentist (it was a big tooth.) It was a baby tooth...silly me.

if it is very loose you won't have to do anything it will fall out in the next couple of days. If it is at the point it is hanging by a thread and he still won't let you wait till he is asleep go in hold it with a tissue and a quick gentle tug and it will come out. Too do this though it HAS TO be hanging by a thread

try any of these tricks...we just went thru a similar issue with one of my girls. Give him a whole crisp apple to eat/or floss his tooth gently but firmly and thoroughly/or let him brush his tooth very very excessively while you sing a lively song to him that he can keep the beat to. If all else fails, a dentist will pull if need be.

Atleast you are aloud to look at it and when the root has desolved and it is ready to come out it will until then save up for the tooth fairy. It's not a problem to let it stay in until it is ready.

Just let gravity take its course. It will fall out eventually. (seems to happen the most often at school.) Sometimes it hurts to wiggle it because the gum is still attached, so if your child doesn't want it touched, leave it alone.

pull the tooth out when he is a sleep then you leave money under a pillow tell him the next morning that the his tooth must have fallen out and the tooth fairy must have taken his tooth and left him something under his pillow then tell him to look under his pillow.
