Pretty much all bottled water is filtered tap water. Read the labels. I can almost guarantee it'll say somewhere: from such and such municipal water source, which is tap water.
This isn't exactly news. Nor is it surprising.

Most bottle water will be from the Tap. usually it's distilled, and some additives are .... added. There are some brands, mostly from Europe that are bottled at the source. Which means its considered Spring water, and still has all the impurities, mineral, etc.
Aquafina, and Dasani, bottled by Pepsi and Coke are all bottled in the area that it is sold. So next time you buy a nice cool pure bottle of water, just walk down to your local river and say " MMMM I'm drinking That!!"
