I went to the eye doctor last September and got contacts and at that time, he also wrote a prescription for eyeglasses, in case i wanted to get those also. I could not wear the contacts, they felt really uncomfortable. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I got my glasses and the prescription of the glasses doesn't seem right, like my vision is blurry.

Get them rechecked. Sometimes doctors are wrong, you know. Because if you walk around with the wrong prescription, you will hurt your eyesight that way. And if you want contacts, tell him that the ones were uncomfortable, there are many kinds, you just have to find what is right for you. ;)

It's been almost a year since your last check-up. Yes, eyesight can change in a year, but it's not because you're not wearing corrective lenses. Your eyes have a mind of their own.

Go back to the eye doctor and get another prescription. You may need to start all over again with the exam and glasses. It's gonna cost you unless you have insurance. However, being able to see clearly is important. You wouldn't want to be driving without correction and hit a pedestrian (or a telephone pole) nor would you want to be a pedestrian and not be able to judge the distance of an oncoming car.

Well, yes and no...yes because your eyes work harder to focus on things...but if you're ALWAYS wearing glasses or contacts usually your prescription gets worse over time. My husband used to have worse eyesight than me, but he never wears his glasses at home and I'm constantly wearing mine, and now my eyes are worse than his.

If the glasses aren't right, take them back to the eye doctor! Sometimes glasses and contact perscriptions are different. Or maybe the lenses that were put in to your glasses are wrong. Don't wear them, take them back and have them check and fix it. Your eyesight shouldn't have changed that much since September. How long did you try the contacts? If you put them in right, making sure everything's clean, after about a week you'll get used to having something in your eyes. :P

glasses and contacts can make your eyesight worse too. Your eyes will start to rely on the prescription to help you to see, so they will start to get lazy!! Then the next time you will need a stronger prescription. Make sense?

Why do you went to see doctor at the first place?
If you have a problem with your eyes then I guess the best prescription is eyes relaxation, vitamin A and eyeglasses to correct your eye sight because our eye lens keep on tracking and eyeglasses will help your lens to correct the problem.

Every year that you age, your eyes age as well. Your eyesight changes from the effects of everyday use. For example, if you work on a computer for a long time, your eyes can become strained. Most likely, your eyesight has changed and you should have it re-checked by a opthomologist.

eyesight gets worse if you DO wear glasses or contacts. It allows your eyes to grow weak because they aren't working. Like any muscle, your eyes will "atrophy"(for lack of a better word) without being exercise.
