Yes that can happen, I've heard of it before. All I guy really needs is to be turned on and some friction. The signs that it's happened are pretty much what you just described, breathing heavy then exhaustion. He was embarrassed probably because he wanted to go further with you, or do what you were doing for longer but got all tuckered out. It's probably not a good idea for you to tease him or even bring it up again. Guys are so sensitve about that kind of stuff. Feel good about the fact that you can turn him on so much.
If you're thinking about it, wait a while to have actual sex with him, and if you do please use a condom.

Yes, either of you can have an orgasm just from making out, but it's much, much more common for guys.
If he did his pants will be wet. Usually there's heavy breathing, moaning or shouting, then he lays down and is sleepy. Some guys describe it like blowing up a balloon - you work and work and work at it, then pop!

yes.. it is very possible... and while you werent touching his penis with your hand, your body was touching it... and while you were making out, you were probably moving your bodies so that it was kinda "jacking off" his dick...
you can tell a guy is getting close to an orgasm because of his moaning and hard breathing...

since you are fairly young, im assuming he is too, that is perfectly normal for a boy to get over excited and orgasm. nothing wrong with it, the more you two interact with eachother the better he will be able to control himself:)
