Obviously this is a question more for serious Bible Scolars. Anyway.

In the Apocrypha, specifically in the "Book of the Secrets of Enoch" it states that "On the Sixth Day I commanded my wisdom to create man from seven consistencies".... going on to explain the creation process and then about a paragraph later it says "And I placed on the earth a second angel honorable, great, and glorious" speaking of course about Adam.

So, if Adam was the "Second Angel" placed on earth who was the first? Did I miss something in my studies?

Lucifer was sent down to inspect the lands as the first angel!
It was when he refused to bow down to God's new creation of man that he was cast out of heaven for good! The rebel angels believed that they were above humans & saw no reason to bow before inferior beings!

Lucifer was of the archangel cast.

Just great. know I have a copy of the book of Enoch around and when I need it . It hides on me. probilly won't find it for a day or two.
But lets see I remember something about a second adam in the Apocrypha. and the Secrets of Enoch from the Forgotton books of Eden but they don't mention a second angel placed on earth in a quick runthrough.
ST Lucifer mentioned by one of the other answers was supposed to be this planets Guardian Angel. Until he thought he could run creation better than the creator and rebelled with a group of like minded angels and lost . then was cast out of heaven onto an island surronded by a sea of glass to await the judgement day.

Considering that "The Angel of the Lord" is a title for Jesus in the Old Testament, is it possible that He is the first angel?

I'm not really sure. This makes sense in my mind since I believe He was present at Creation. I'm really interested to know now!

Are you looking for doctrine in this study or just inconsistencies?

Looks like it's pseudepigraphal; not even apocryphal.....so as far as canonicity it's just not reliable, and not necessarily consistent from a literary approach, though I have not specifically studied this one.

So, outside of the text itself (and perhaps a doctoral dissertation on this specific text) you are not likely to get an answer to this one. Try University libraries or an internet search to find what you're looking for.

The Apocrypha is not canonical.. do not consider any of it be infallible.
