The beauty of loving a human being is the idea that we are dealing with a dynamic, ever-changing and definitely unique creation. The words "I love you." are words meant to be said and proved. If a real man tells a woman that phrase and his feeling is true, not time or even individual differences can stop him. I'm no romantic, but i do believe and live this kind of principle.

No, but I've been around a girl with a similar situation and I stuck around close to 2 years before I finally got over it and left for good. Probably should have done it sooner, obviously it didn't matter how committed or serious I was.

Listennn... To ya boy when it comes to saying I love you. It shouldn't matter who says it first or if they say it back. Most likely he said it because he loves you not because he wanted you to hear you tell him that you love him. I hope you told him you love him beacause you do and not because you felt pressure because he said it. Its never good to tell someone you love them just becuase they want to hear it. But anyway I think most mature men would stay with girl even if the didn't say it. Now if the relationship progressed and you can see that the scale is one sided and you are doing all the giving then you should break it off.

I would have stuck around. If someone truly loves you they wont mind waiting. A guy would only dump you if he said I love you to get somewhere. This guy sounds serious. Your the lucky one here.

i do think if the anyone who really cared about someone they would stuck around. Love is a big thing and if you weren't ready to say that then it's a good thing, and i Glad you worked it out.

Personally I would have stuck around but that's just me, all guys have different opinions. I would stick around as long as I knew my girlfriend loved me. It's not necessarily if you SAY it or not it's whether you SHOW it or not. As long as my girlfriend showed she loved me it wouldn't matter to me if she said "I love you" or not.

well, my guy kept saying it to me, but not directly. if i did something cute or fun, he'd be like "that's why i love you"..and i didn't say it back at first. and eventually he asked me why, and then i realized that i did love him and i told him so.

don't know if that helps, i guess i'm trying to say they'll probably stick around for a while at least
