Think about what causes you to be late all the time. Do you start to leave on time and then forget to get something , like your keys, purse, etc. If that is the case, lay everthing out the night before and there for you can just grab it all and go, and if you still feel like you are forgetting something -- make a check list. Now if you are late because you over slept, then you can perhaps get two or more alarm clocks and have them go off at different times. --- BUT THE MAIN THING IS FINDING OUT WHY YOU ALWAYS LATE

late to what exactly? Try to set out your clothes the day before so that you don't take long picking out your clothes. Set your clock 15 minutes earlier so that if you are rushing you will forget you set the time ahead and get there on time. Pick a snack to eat so that you don't take long to eat something before you go. Powerwalk where ever you have to go. Time how long it takes you to get ready. Say it takes you 30 minutes and you have to leave at 8:00 A.M. set an alarm for 7:15.

Give yourself that extra 15-20 minutes in travel time. For example, if it takes you 10 minutes to get someplace, allow 25-30. Most of the time you'll be early. Good luck!

When you know the time you need to be someplace, tell yourself you have to be there 30 minutes earlier. Say your appt. is at 3 pm, write it down as 2:30, tell yourself it's at 2:30 in your head. That's what works for me.
Sometimes people are late because they have trouble managing time because of other issues, like having attention deficit disorder. Not because they think they are more important than others. Geeze.

Make yourself think that your appointment or meeting is 20-30 minutes earlier. For example, if you are scheduled to meet someone at 2:30pm, write down and think that you have to meet them at 2 - 2:15pm. And once time comes around to leave, force yourself to take that first step, and the other foot will follow.
Good luck!

How can it possibly be so difficult to be on time or early? All ya gotta do is know how long it takes you to get ready and get somewhere. If I wanna make it to work by 4 I start gettin' ready at 3 and head out at 3:45. I'm never late.

I conquered this when I stopped thinking backwards. You know, you think "If I have to be there at 10, and it takes me a half hour to get there, another half hour to get ready then I don't have to do anything until 9." Now I get up at the same time everyday, get myself completely ready, and do a couple of chores. Then when I need to leave, I just have to freshen up and go. And my chores are getting done too!
Something else that stuck with me was when an employer I really admired simply said "I respect you enough to be here on time to help you do your job - I expect the same courtesy from you."

Compensate for the time it takes to get there. Add that time to the 15-20 minutes you want to be early, subtract that from the time you need to be there and leave at that time.

Well its not like there is a magical potion to cure your procrastination. You just need to be more responsible and do what you gotta do, when you gotta do it. Don't take that extra 20 minutes looking at your self in the mirror, or hitting snooze 300 times...Get up and go. Motivation is a wonderful thing.
