Tonight my kids were playing and my 6 yr old daugther had a blanket between her teeth pretending to be a puppy well her older brother came walkin by and ripped the blanket out of her mouth. well apperently when he ripped the blanket out it ripped one of her front teeth out. she said she didnt even know until she went to her room and looked in her mirror. Then of course she was hysterical! but my real question is do you think I need to take her to a dentist ? I mean I am pretty sure it was a baby tooth but it was not loose and ready to come out. I mean there was no bleeding or anything. so what do you think?

There's nothing a dentist can do. Have her rinse her mouth out with warm salt water. And keep watch for any change of color or swelling along the gum line.

Kids start losing their baby teeth around 6-8 so her adult tooth will drop.

She was probably going to be losing it soon but it just hadn't loosened to the point she was feeling it.

I Think Maybe It Was Ready But The Roots Where Not It Happened To Me Before! And No Don't Take Her To The Dentist Unless It Was An Adult Tooth But If It's A Baby Tooth Don't Worry Too Much IT Just MAy Take A While For Her Adult Tooth To Come In!

If it was a baby tooth there is nothing to worry about, another tooth will grow in eventually. The tooth had to have been loose in order for it to come out. The only way it could have come out and not been loose is if an adult had punched her in the mouth.

I'd call dentist office to explain where the tooth was. I'm thinking even with her older brother pulling on the blanket -- I don't think it would have pulled it out unless it was already loose. Good luck!

Wouldn't you know if it was actually her baby tooth or not. Has she lost her front teeth yet. If not it was a baby tooth. If it came out that easy it was most likely loose.

i'm sure she'll be fine but losing any tooth like that should always follow with a dentist appointment. i mean, what could it hurt. Plus, you do want to make sure everything is ok
