Because the millions of immigrants don't want to learn it, they'd rather bring the USA down! When I lost my job due to a layoff, I had to go to meetings with people that wasted my time because they needed translators to spend 15 minutes telling the women with veils covering her face what was said!!! Now, what's wrong about that?????

English is most certainly not the easiest language to learn. Actually, I wouldn't consider any language 'easy' to learn, but relatively, English is among one of the hardest in the world.
English may only be rivaled by some Asian languages such as Mandarin Chinese in difficulty. (Many people have difficulty with the various 'tones', which are not use in Indo-European languages.)
Finally, if you really do want to know what the 'easiest' language to learn is, many will tell you Esperanto. It is an 'artificial language'. That is, it was created by one man, not evolved naturally over time (like English, Chinese and most if not all languages which are widely spoken). Esperanto is said by many not to be a 'real' language, but it depends on your definition of real.
Anyway, I went a bit beyond the question, but I hope that helps.

English is a pretty hard language to learn as compared to the Romance languages. It has a lot of nuances in spelling and different idioms that are confusing to other people. Like the word "enough" is pronounced enuff but the word through is pronounced thru. In most languages the connection between spelling and pronunciation is pretty consistent unlike in English. Not that all of the other languages are extremely easy......but in comparison English is pretty tough.

It is dependent a exceptional deal where language you're beginning with, and which language is your beginning language. Japanese, Chinese, and perhaps Russion could also be one of the vital such a lot complex languages to be trained. The Romance languages are on the whole the simplest for an American; Italian, French, & Spanish. GB and U.S.A English could also be one of the vital less complicated languages for lots of international locations.

English is one of the most difficult languages to learn, partly because it's written differently than it's pronounced.
English is the "standard" world language for business partly because dollars have been one of the most stable, influential, and valuable currencies in the world. All oil is bought in dollars, for example.
As the world's biggest consumer, the USA has helped the spread of English in the world greatly. Before that, the UK did the same.

English is actually one of the hardest to learn/understand; especially modern English. Today's English is very diverse, complex, and not to mention vast...with thousands of words a year being created in some form or fashion. I studied Latin, it was a breeze compared to say, English Literature!
