She does not drink or smoke. I want to get her something that she will really appreciate. She gave me a book a while ago on daily meditation. I want to get her something that tells her I appreciate her friendship.

She does not drink or smoke. I want to get her something that she will really appreciate. She gave me a book a while ago on daily meditation. I want to get her something that tells her I appreciate her friendship. She is in her early 40's, and has been living in the US for about 11 years or so

Give her a lotus shape (lantern or crystals). It's a symbol of harmonic cycle in life.

Well, I don't really think that she would need anything 'korean' as such.
Get her something to do with whatever you two like to do together as friends, so that she can remember the good times you share anytime she sees/uses it.
A really nice photo in a natural wooden frame would be nice. Koreans really like fantastic photos. Try to find one of the two of you doing something enjoyable, where you both look great and happy. A time you can both remember well.
Then get it enlarged, and framed. Could be pricey, but it definately shows how much you appreciate her, and treasure the memories you have made together.

Have a dog barbeque!! No seriously I am just kidding. Maybe you could cook her a nice Korean meal though. There are all types of Korean markets around. If she has been here that long though she may not dig Korean food. Good luck.

since i'm korean, i'd want an asian purse or maybe a fan? think about her personality. think about what she likes. maybe she'll enjoy another one of those...

most malls they have these asian kids store that a lot of korean girls like. they have notebooks, candy, books, and a lot of asian stuff.
