Ok, this is going to sound weird, but it's true. My cat is about a year old now, and for the past 5-6 months whenever I start to pet her, she starts purring, and then - no joke- starts to suck on her own nipple.. she only does it when I pet her and make her purr. Doe anybody else's cat do this? Can anyone explain this?

You are correct, this is weird. I have been around and have raised cats, for over four decades, and, I personally, have never seen it. Other than perhaps a future in "Kitty Porn", your cat is doing this to 'comfort' itself. I would imagine, that one day, in the last 6 months or so, your cat was cleaning itself, and accidentally---'did' it, which 'all' cats do, but, don't usually, go any farther than cleaning. If it doesn't 'bother' you, just forget about it, I'm sure your cat will stop doing it on it's own. (*It's kind of like, when a child sucks it's thumb)

Suckling isn't uncommen for cats. He may have never dropped the habit after he's been weaned from his mother's milk. (Usually caused from being weaned too early)

If you want the behavior to stop, give him something else to suck. Maybe, your finger... or pissibly an empty bottle used for feeding orphaned kittens.

Dont disaplin him for doing so, because he isn't going anything wrong.
