Dogs can (and have) been bred over the years to be very small and "puppylike". If the same could be done with cats, would you want one?

Actually, there /are/ miniature cats. Even after they're fully grown, they still look like kittens. =P Sooo cute!

I'm getting a new kitty next week! He is going to be small. He will get big. I like cats that are the size they are. They are comforting, like holding a baby. If I want to hold a tiny furry creature, I will get out my hamster. Just not the same thing, cuddling with a mouse-size critter, though. And not much to pet and see stretched out as long as they can.

You know something similar has been done with cats. There is a breed of cat that has shorter legs about half the length of a normal domestic cats' legs. I can't remember what it is called but there was a segment on them a few years ago and some were saying it was cruel. But a cat that stayed kitten like forever, I bet that would be cute.

If they were as healthy as a normal cat, and hadn't resulted in a ton of defects. Some small dogs are prone to more diseases or conditions, and I wouldn't want a cat like that.

If it was just smaller though, and everything else was the same, then sure.

No. Why not just get a hamster or mouse? If a cat were very small it would become too vulnerable.

Who wouldn't?! :D

Although, I love a big kitties best. After all, cats were first domesticated to catch and kill mice. I'd like to keep a big, vicious, fat, cat around. ^^

Awww......

Nope. I like my cats, (and dogs) to be their normal size. I do have a special fondness for Hemmingway cats (polydactyls....extra toes), though. I have two.
