You better quit thinking hypothetically and believe it.

time will tell, you know that is what the scriptures are all about. Prophecy. things that God communicated to his prophets and they in turned warned the people. The scriptures about about those kind of things and many have come to pass and continue to come to pass. If you really think about it and think about everything that has ever happened my question to you is why do you find it so hard to believe. Men are wicked, some are good, some aren't. The reason we can't see GOD is because we can't handle His glory, but just because you can't see Him doesn't mean he doesn't exist. You can't see the air you breath but guess what, it's there. Well it's the same way. In the winter when you breath it's possible to see your breath well, if you soften your heart then it's possible to feel the effects of the Holy Ghost. Don't take too long to figure things out. The things that have been prophsied about are coming to pass do you want to be left behind? It's your choice. Hell by the way is going to be nothing more then intense regret of not taking the advantages of having Jesus Christ in your life so you can once again return into GODs presence. Being seperated from your family and loved ones. I know because I live it now. That is the great thing about the LDS religion. We believe that families are forever and that death does not end marriages nor families. I also believe that friendship are eternal also. Either way it's all a choice and one that God will never force on you. He wants you to find your way back, has provided a means for you to become cleansed from the evils of mortal choices all you have to do is accept of his gift. The atoning blood of Jesus Christ makes it all possible. Whether you believe or not doesn't matter, the end will come and many because of their unbelief will perish.

Believe in the God of YOUR understanding...you just might be right...You will not go to 'hell' for your beliefs...my own beliefs range from fundamental, to conservative, to liberal, even to radical...No one person, denomination, or religion has all the answers...so don't let others tell you that what you believe is wrong...I know some people think some of my beliefs are off base...but then other clergy of different denominations or religions verify those very beliefs...Dare to believe & state what you believe...God is a very BIG God & we are very presumptuous to think that only we are right...He understands your every thought & believe me, He will not be angry, but will lead you to your truth, gently & lovingly...If it is not gentle & loving, I would dare say it is not God speaking but someone/person other than God...

As for the apocalypse, people have been looking for & seeing that coming since the time of Jesus. The truth is no one but God knows when that is. It may be millions of years in the future...there will be wars & rumors of wars always...the earth will continue to change & so will the sun for millions of years though they will eventually die. By that time the space program that NASA is working on will have developed to the point that humankind can search for & go to another place in the galaxy or universe. Believe, read, study...science & religion...God is the Master Scientist & perhaps science answers some of the questions as to 'how' God did what He did. You never know...you might be really suprised.

As for me, I know that God Is... & that's all I need to know. I leave the rest to Him. Trust me, God IS real & we can't begin to know the magnitude of Him & His works...Just trust...you are not going to 'hell'...You have just indicated that you do believe... something...that is what I read in your question, & that is what is important. You don't have to believe like everyone else...You have a brain too..!!! Much love, Nala

(Of course I could be wrong couldn't I...not to worry...God can handle that & the world will go on)

I wouldn't worry about it. The Speckled Tree Frog Worshippers in the jungles of Borneo have just as good a chance of being right as the Christians... probably better, since they don't believe in such ridiculous things as:

*  a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*  solid 'firmmament' structure (the sky) seperating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*  talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
*  shepherd staff turning into an asp
*  demons chased out of people and into pigs
*  friendly spirits
*  evil spirits
*  walking on water
*  multiplying loaves and fishes
*  food falling from the sky
*  conception by a ghost
*  people raising from the dead
*  the sun stopping in its tracks
*  parting seas
*  people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*  world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*  creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*  magical tree of knowledge
*  god speaking from a burning bush
*  ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker

I think that the "Apocalypse" is being caused by certain (but not all) Christians who think the end is already coming so it doesn't matter if they pollute and have all the wars they want. They don't care what happens to the earth. Its like they see the Earth as the Titanic and their the only ones with lifeboats, the Rapture. The rest of us can sink for all they care, unless we believe in all the same things they believe.

But that's just my observation

OK, if it was true and I somehow figured that out then I would be in one fuc*ked up position, because I am about as far away from God as you can get. I'd probably figure out a way to get my act together though. In the Atheist realm there is an endless amount of things to know, in the Christian realms there is a limited amount of things to know, I'm sure any atheist in the world could become a Christian if they tried.

In no way do I believe in god so I cant even hypothetically think of him been real, I just cant use my imagination that much!
Whenever something happens in the world, Religious types always try and tie it to some prophecy coming true etc.. they have been doing this for years! The end of day has been coming for how long now and I still dont see it.. They will do anything they can to prove there god exists.. I dont need to prove he doesnt as its my belief, no one elses!

It's only due to ignorance. Ancient peoples used to think that solar eclipses were caused by a god swallowing the sun and they would carry out human sacrifices to get the sun back.
Science has shown the folly of this but your christian guy on TV is just a throwback.

I can only believe what I believe. "Believing" is basically the same as "knowing". I believe in what I can understand and know with my mind, - my eyes and my ears and all of my senses, for I trust in them better than I do my heart and emotions. I do not believe or disbelieve anything out of spite or hatred. My beliefs are based only on what I find credible and reasonable to myself. Would God be fooled if I went through the motions of pretending to believe something that I didn't?

I'll be delighted to alter my beliefs regarding heaven and hell if and whenever my mind and my senses can accept them as true. Although the senses can be fooled, I know very well how the heart and the emotions are more subject to irrationality and capable of lying to me or anyone, despite what common sense has to say.

Honestly how bad can hell be if this is already it? Christian or not I could not place my trust in a god who supports the bush's of the world. Please if there was a god are we stupid enough to believe that he enjoys watching the rich get richer, the poor become less educated and far worse off. Not a chance I would take my chances with the devil I know.

I'm a strange combination of Pagan and Christian. I know it sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. It's part of the "Silent Knowing".

The God that I worship (whom also, I believe, has a feminine facet) wouldn't damn someone for just not believing in him. I believe God to be understanding and tolerant, thus willing to hear our side of the story before judging us. Kind of like a court hearing, but without a jury; it's just God.

However, if God was cruel and damned everyone just because they had human tendencies to doubt his existence, or put other God/desses before him, then I wouldn't want to spend eternity with him when I die.
