The correct answer is as what mike said, it means an 'excuse'. the others have basically broken the word jie kou into individual words which is wrong in mandarin. jie can mean many things like sister,to quit and many others since the chinese language has many different accents. But when combined with kou, jie kou means an excuse. Hope that helped!

Did you hear someone say just those two words, or was it part of a larger sentence?
Sounds much more like "borrow way", which is what people say instead of "excuse me" when they want to walk past or around you. I think your pinyin is incorrect... I believe it's this:
jiè to lend; to borrow; excuse; pretext; by means of
guò to cross; to go over; to pass
If it was part of a sentence (unlikely in this case, I think), it could also be "result"

Depends. I'd need to see the characters to give you a 100% accurate answer, but it most likely means "excuse", as in "There's no excuse for your behavior." Hope this helps!
