Boy, did you ask for it... :)

Well, here's a funny link for you to read on the subject anyway... if you haven't already, that is.

Evolution is a theory but people have this weird way of equating it with fallacy or imagery. There is the atomic theory. No one has ever seen an atom. Yet if it atoms were not "theorized" there'd be no electricity today. No computers. No TVs. Not even batteries. A theory is not "just" an imagery but a statement concluded from scientifically collected and analyzed data. Theory of evolution is the same. It is not a once-for-all answer but a logical conclusion to what the data showed. It answers the question, "How did the universe start and develop?". The contradiction against Genesis begins the moment people start using Genesis as a science book--literal creation by God. But here's an observation: Adam named every creature everywhere in Genesis. Did he name the pre-historic beasts, then? What about those creatures and bacterias we still discover today? Did he name them, too? God, I believe, did not literally create everything. He CAUSED the existence(through development) of everything.

Both creation and evolution are Theories that require Faith to believe... yes creation is a theory... a theory is simply a possible explanation... Creation is a possible explanation therefore it is a theory...

I don' t know what will make sense to you... but Simply put the universe exists therefore someone or something must have made it... just like a watch or car doesn't put it self together... neither did the universe which is much more complex... you can't get something from nothing without there being a supreme being who made it...

I don't understand it all myself either but I sure do think it's more realistic to think that someone made all of this then it just happening by change out of a big bang??? (btw - explosions mess things up they don't cause things to come together and form life)

A scientist can explain fine details of creation, weather evolutionist or "creationist", and the details will be the same; but comments about evolution and comments about creation in 6 days are contradictory. But scripture says "thou doest not know how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child"; scientists know very little. The idea that bones can evolve is counterintuitive, and there is nothing scientific which suggests that it is possible; this is just one of many problems with the theory. On the other hand it is impossible to understand such as how Jesus can think or speak and thus water is changed into wine, or Lazarus is raised from the dead, or how things were spoken into existence. We can not understand those things. On the other hand in my studies of Medical Anthropology I find that it is true that adaptation is very real but only within parameters constrained by the design of the DNA code.

Careful study will reveal that both evolution and creation theories can be immagined, but both are impossible to understand. If you think you understand one of them then you have believed propaganda. The question is how we can arrive at knowing that one or the other is true; and that must be done through philosophical reasoning. But as I began to indicate above there is no evidence of evolution beyond an elaborate design which can be equally taken to indicate the existence of a designer. But I believe that through philosophical reasoning it is possible to arrive at certainty.

I am familiar with two different uses of the term "theory", in engineering school we used that term to refer to mathematical models which give general descriptions of phenomena. In the more common use a theory is a proposed idea which explains things, though there may or may not be enough evidence to support it; in some cases a theory can be wild speculation.

For the details of the creation process read Genesis chapter one on: you can check the biblegateway website which is the bible on line (like do a google search if you can't find it).

But if teachers insist upon teaching evolution in biology class, then so be it; but then teach Genesis in history class, then you will get more accurate history, than what is actually taught in history class these days. (Also your sentiment about creation is consistant with the usual sentiment on the flood, and scripture says in the last days they will mock the flood.)

The most important thing I said in this discussion is the first scripture reference above, about bone growth. I should like to post a question about that as well.

I am glad you understand that evolution is a theory and as of yet, unproven.

Creation is unproven, but it doesn't demand proof. It only requires faith.

Science is based on fact and demands factual testable, irrefutable proof.

What is easier to believe, that everything started from nothing, or that a Supreme Intelligence set everything into motion?

Why would some chose to believe that we came from the apes when apes still exist?

What is so difficult about believing that God created us in His Image and Likeness and set us over the rest of Creation? There is no missing link to say otherwise.

What other creature on earth can ask: 1. Is there a God? 2. Where did I come from? 3. Why am I here? Pretty unique, wouldn't you say?

So there you have it. Creation requires no proof, only faith. Evolution demands proof that has not yet materialized.

Creation is simply easier to accept. Some people just think that it isn't "smart," but Creation is not about 'smarts.' It is all about faith. You either have it, or you don't.

There is no way that makes any common sense at all. You are trying to find a way out of curiosity, but I will tell you now, THERE IS ABSOLUTLEY NO WAY! Creationist lie and skew things to make them look true, and call the Evolutionist (IE: Real Scientists) liars. They try to get debates with them JUST to make it look like it is a controversy, when it really isn't. If a Creationist had a debate with an Evolutionist and lost, then he would still win because instead of the Creationist being completely counted out, like they should be, they instead just fall behind one tally mark rather than losing the whole thing. They aren't tricking anyone but the uneducated. You are lucky but no need to waste time searching for a theory that makes sense, especially on Yahoo Answers with all these psychos...

The best way that I can explain creation without mentioning the Bible is to ask some reasonable questions.

1. Can disorder eventually become order? If so, how much time is needed? The "right conditions" keep coming up in arguments. What are these "right conditions"? Have scientists quantified these alleged "right conditions"?

2. Lets look at the human body. The body is composed of many different systems. How were they arranged in their perfect places? How is it that we have 2 eyes, 1 nose, 2 ears, etc.? How is that every system works in perfect harmony with each other?

There are many other questions that I can dream up. However, I ask, can the answer to these questions be summed up with "it just happened that way"? Would that satisfy you? It does not satisfy me at all!!!

GOD bless.

Ok, The bible states several times in the old testament that the world existed before Gen 1 and the creation of man. For example The description of Lucifer (Heylel in the Hebrew) tells of how he was on this earth before he fell. (Lucifer had already fallen in Genesis).

Remember you got to see that Genesis is not the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job was.

Also in the hebrew, it states a insurmountable period of time between verses Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2, such that Gen 1:1 was just a statement on it's own. "In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth."

You got to look at the 7-day creation as a resetting of the earth for the Human Race, to serve as witnesses to God for the appeal trial of Satan and the Fallen Angels.

please reference the below link for chapter and verse to support my statement.

I don't know how God created life but evolution seems a poor explanation. The fossil record does show simple life forms early and more complicated ones later. But the fossil record does not show development of one species into another. For instance in the "evolution" of the horse, evolutionists like to line up a series of fossil skeletons (quite complete ones because they have found lots of pieces and put them together). They start out with a creature about the size of a dog with 4 toes. Then the next one is larger with 3 toes, then 2 toes and finally the hoof. There is similar development with the head, etc. They claim that fossil A developed into B into C into D the modern horse. But the truth is, they have hundreds of fossil A and hundreds of fossil B but nothing - NOTHING in between. There is no creature with 3 1/2 toes, just lots of A's and B's. Also lots of C's and D's but nothing in between. Kind of like what you see when you look around. You see lots of oak trees and lots of maple trees but no halfs or 7/8's.
How God did it - and He seems to have been progressive about it - I don't know. But it didn't happen by a series of random mutations. Make a random change in the motor of your regrigerator. Is it an improvement? Random changes bring destruction in complex systems.
The Case for a Creator by Lee Stroebel makes fascinating reading.

An illusion. How is it possible to create nothing from nothing. The idea as I understand it is one minute there was a void with nothing and then there were six steps of magic, for lack of a better word, to result in people. Makes little sense to some but I think the idea is to believe with out question.

This is good that you are getting interested! If you read in Genesis chapter 1 it says...

and God created the heaven and the earth...

Now.. That is not a theory! In the end.. people will see that this was real.. and is not a theory. and that there is a God!
