"There are symbols found in the human unconscious that mean similar things to all of us. By understanding these symbols, it is possible to analyze our dreams and to learn from them. Our life experiences influence our interpertation of these symbols and as a result each person's dream is unique to them and can only be truly understood by them. The purpose of this site is to help you analyze your own dreams based on those common images."

If you are looking to intepret your dreams/nightmares do not waste your money by buying a Dream Dictionary or something like that. I would like to let you know that only you can intepret your dreams. According to Freud, dreams are the road to the unconscious. So you have to look at what is happening in your dream and applying it to your life.
The first thing that you need to do is to take and remove any events that are called "day residue." These are things that have happened to you during the day. Next you want to write down what happened in the dream. Once you have done that take and analyize the symbols in the dream.
For instance, if you are dreaming that your being chased by a giant crab in the middle of a room full of files. Let's assume that you work for a company who's logo is a crab, and you have been pressed really hard at work. The dream could mean that you are struggling to keep up with the high demands at work and you need to try and "escape" for a little while. This escape could be in the form of trying something new, or taking a small vacation.

Do symbols translate between cultures? objectives of snakes in N usa could fluctuate from E Asia. do we've a shared database of symbolic imagery from a instinctual psychology? I look to lean in the direction of a rationalists concepts-set. the fee isn't interior the logo (snake), however the emotive reaction it induces. A) Snake is concern B) Snake is excitement yet a large question to invite is that if primates share instinctive responses to symbols. ie the colour pink.
