Hmm -
Well, let's be honest. Why do people care what age you are your boyfriend are? Because people are skittish about what you guys might be doing! (You are 13, so I have to be VERY careful what I say, but let's just say I'm talking about the stuff you had to get a slip to learn about in health class.)
If we subscribe purely to the viewpoint that a 16 yr old is likely to try to make the relationship physical, then it is not a good thing. I had friends who were pregnant at 13 (not by me) and it was NOT a good thing. You REALLY don't want to go there.
Then there is the age of consent thing. Let's face it, in a couple years, if the relationship continues, you will be 15, and he will be 18. After a couple of years, most relationships turn physical. But he would be breaking the law at that point. Not good.
Sigh -
Now, I will concede that it could be a romance devoid of any of those problems, and everything will turn out fine, but it's not likely. You WILL most likely face those problems, and that is simply no fun.
One way to make it work is to set WHATEVER conditions you want to be in place and stick by them.
But really, as someone who is more than double your age, I'd say keep it friendly without getting too deeply involved, and just have a good time. If things get wierd, just stop seeing the guy.

This is not too big of an age difference. I am 3 years older than my wife and we get along just fine.
He's a little older than you, it will cause some people to freak, especially if you are still together when he hits 18 (it' a legal deal).
Here is some advice, take it or leave it. Have fun with lots of boys and don't be too serious about just one at your age. You probably don't feel like taking this advice, but you are young and should not be thinking about being serious about one guy just yet. Wait a few years. Life is long, there is still plenty of time.
Good luck.

whoooaa there hun.
Speaking from experiance... dont go there.
hes 16. which means hes legal.
your 13. which means your not.
thats could get you into some trouble there. and even if that doesnt get you into trouble. i wouldnt recomend it. it would be different if you were 18 and he was 21 or something. but 13 and 16 isnt good.
my advice (speaking from experiance) would be to date someone more your own age for now. once you get older its not as risky to date up.

right now it is a big age difference because you are both so young and there are so many things going on with school and friends. but be friends and in a few more years, it will not matter as much.

Yeah that's a bit too much at the moment. You shouldnt be dating at 13 and he shouldnt want to date a 13yr old.
....it will be okay later on in life ( 20 - 23 )

Your age distinction - sixteen and 14 - isn't something, and shouldn't reason you any subject. I choose you good success. yet i'm sorry I merely could laugh out loud once you're saying a 14-year previous female is "Mature".
