I spend around 200 on clothes, and somewhere around 60 on supplies. You? I'm not sure what catergory this fits in...sorry!

Well, I'm a teacher and its only July so I've only spent about $200 so far (On markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, pencils, folders, and notebook paper) because even though my students come with school supplies ... it's never enough. Some come with none and some come with not enough. So, guess what? I have to supply it. Those are the things I know I'll have to have before the school year starts. Before it ends I'll spend way more. Even on the first day of school, I'll see what the kids bring, send out notes to parents asking them to send more, won't get it and I'll have to go out and get way more. By the end of the school year ...I'll end up spending $900 more.

I have 3 kids in school I spend 500 on clothes book bags and about 200 in supplies and that is just the beginning

Well I spent about $100 on clothes because she is only 5 and she will grow out of them and as far as school supplies I spent about $25. Once summer comes around again I will have to buy her some more clothes which will probably be around another $100.

My kids wear uniforms so on clothes for two about $400 and on supplies about $150
And that is just to start but through out the year you can add about another $300 for additional winter clothes and supplies!!

jeez, that's a waste of money. I recycle...and no, that's not lame. I spend the money on cool stuff like gas and insurance and the occasional rock climbing gear and beer. Think about how much fun you could be having with the money you waste on being cool and having brand new stuff. It creates way more garbage too.
In the case of parents buying make em use them broken pencils you find in the bottom of the junk drawer and make em wear burlap sacks. That'll teach em.
