No. I am not a whore.
I got divorced because my former spouse chose to use my face/body as his punching bag.
I got tired of broken bones and bruises (and missing lots of work) and when the chance came, I took it!

Where did you get that word whores? Did you look it up in the Webster's College dictionary before you used it or is it just a word you heard from others?

I must ask this because your posted question has nothing to do with that words meaning based upon what you stated. I did also read most of the posted 19 answers and it seems they forgot to look up the word also.

Your question only asks about the naming of one who is divorced and not about any activities after the divorce. The word whore pertains to an activity in the sexual act accomplished for a monitary return. Is all this just assumed by you in the question.

I did prior to answering this check out your profile and I found no evidence about you at all thus I could not form an opinion as to why you ask this question. So I will assume it was a legitimate question and you are really trying to avoid using the dictionary or asking others how the understand the definition of a whore.

Just to make you and those others who answered your question think a little, is a married woman considered a whore ? You might think I am joking but I am very serious. Read the definition of a prostitute in the Webster's Dictionary carefully and you will see it is also a whore. It makes no clear distinction as to married or single. It only declares the engagement in sexual activity for money or payment in some way. Does not a married woman get a share of the fruits of her husband's labor for the services rendered?

I am nort trying to change the society and the way others are, I only hope that a few will start to think before they jump. In my opinion too many read hear them reply quickly and use the wrong hole to speak with for what comes out is not the clearly digested product of a careful thought designed to be used by another for growth and enlightenment. What is released seems to have a bad odor and is not usually accepted by others as being what is desired to be consumed.

I did ask my question about a married woman because I am fully convinced that all should be careful what words we use and how we do look at others in judgement. Is it my job to judge you or call you names? Is it your job to judge me or call me names? I am fully convinced such should not be done.

I do appreciate the fact you did add the comment "I do not think so, just wondering". From that I will take the positive view that you just wanted to stir up the hornet's nest which the answers seem to indicate you did. I only hope this stiring will bring a few to their senses and allow them to see that they should start by looking to themselves first before they do see or look for the bad in others. This comment goes for both thos who do see a Divorced only woman as a whore and those who thought you were judging them or others.

Now do have a great day one and all and smile if you can knowing I did enjoy answering this question as I did.

yea you have to take into consideration other situations like abusive spouses which is a real reason to leave. i dont think the person leaving an abusive partner is a whore. there are lots of different situations other than sexual infidelity which a divorcee should divorce

There are legitimate reasons for divorce, (abuse, persistent infidelity). The Bible only says that those who remarry are whores. This is because, "what God has joined together, no man can put asunder". So, when you get a civil divorce it is to protect yourself legally. But, in reality you are still married because the state cannot dissolve a marriage joined by God.

what kind of question is that? No, what does divorce and whores have to do with anything? everybody's story and situation is different and nobody has a right to judge but God. But sexual infidelity would probably make you more of a whore than other reasons for divorce.that's my opinion anyway

Ask Anna Nicole Smith. She's not getting a divorce, but she knows exactly what she was doing, as far as her highly publicized court case is concerned.

No, sometimes the person you're married to is just an asshole. That's reason enough to want to get away from them.
