Please help! My g/f's been camping out with her parents (i.e. The Captain and his wife) out in the boonies in the middle of Wisconsin some place (there is no arguing with people's taste, no offense intended towards the great state of Wisconsin, BTW) with no access to a phone or the Internet, or so the story goes, and I haven't heard from her for almost a week now. ... Do you think she might have been forced by her parents to overdose on farm-fresh Wisconsin cheese? Do you think she might come back a 100 lbs. heavier or, worse yet, addicted to Wisconsin cheese for life? :-)

P.S. Her parents think she is too skinny and been trying to get her to eat more. The woman is 35, gorgeous and totally healthy as it is, for crying out loud! ... Leave my baby alone!!! :-)

***craigmann25 - LOL Wisconsin BEEF (as the old lady used to say: "Where's the BEEF?") Besides, she's only into homemade Italian sausage - Mine. :-) LOL ...Thanks for the word of caution; but no worries there at all (I trust my woman unreservedly) – not to mention, I know for a fact she’s with the Captain and his wife; and God help the soul of any poor Wisconsin cheese (BEEF wannabee) that would get closer than 300 yards! Believe me buddy; you don’t know the Captain or his wife! LOL

***Coranewf - Awww, the way you describe it, it sounds like such a wonderful and wholesome place to grow up as a child. And I'm sure it must be, I love places like that also, but unfortunately I couldn’t join them this time due to work obligations. Thanks for the good wishes too – you are very kind.

Thank you ALL for your kind answers, even our friends w/ the nastier remarks; I am sure you’re ultimately trying to watch out for a fellow man's interests, whom your pragmatic minds regard as a blinded fool. Here is the way I see it: 1- I trust my woman completely; 2- I am extremely secure about our feelings (love, lust & respect) for one another; 3- She has no reason whatsoever to wanna be with someone else; 4- I trust her parents’ good intentions and integrity; 5- They were genuinely sad that I could not join them due to my work obligations; 6- She knows and has enough faith in me to be at peace, knowing that I won’t betray her trust while she is gone either; 7- And perhaps more importantly, you cannot ultimately force someone to stay with you if they don't want to of their own free will. In other words, you don't really have to make up a "cheesy" story (pun intended lol) to be disloyal or cheat on your partner.

Anyway, like some of the ladies said: I do miss her terribly and cannot wait till she gets back and hope she has a lot of fun spending some quality time with her parents whom see hasn’t seen in such a long time.

I'm in the boonies in the middle of wisconsin right now. You want me to check on them? Send out a search party? What do you need, buddy? You want I should arrange for her parents to have a little 'accident'? Anything you need, for ten points.

Just kidding. It's good to unplug once in a while. I hope she's having a nice vacation, although I can't imagine anything around here that's worth visiting...

You can over dose on whatever however i suppose it's difficult to do this. Th is is embarrassing but if I was once a child they known as me rat. The purpose they known as me rat was once when you consider that I take tremendous chunks of cheese consume them. I even cover it in my pocket, naw on it. So, in view that i'm nonetheless alive I must say'' NO''. wITH HOW MUCH CHEESE I ATE. whew i be useless lol. Their is a well hazard it could actually make you constipated thou.... I might no longer fear.

I grew up vacationing in Northern Wisconsin. There was no tv, internet or phone. We spent time swimming and fishing on good days... hiking in the woods... looking at wildflowers and birds.... and deer... and black bear.

On rainy days, we stayed in the cabin and read books and played board games.

And btw, fresh cheese curds ROCK!

And we talked. It was always an adjustment, but I can't think of a better way to have quality time with family.

Hang tight... she'll be back... and she'll be fine.

you can't overdose on stuff that good.she is just using the camping thing as an excuse to find a better guy.cause no offense ,but you just sound like an idiot.and why is it you didn't go camping with them.were you not invited.that would be the first clue.no phones or internet?come on with todays technology you can make a phone call from anywhere.clue number 2.give your head a shake and move on ,cause i'm sure thats what she is doing.

AWW!!! Do you miss your honey?!? That's so cute! I assure you, however, that she will come back the same woman as before! Not to worry! =) As for the cheese addiction, It's a tragic thing..... it hurts a lot of people.... I know because I'm a recovering Wisconsin Cheeseoholic..... count your blessings if she comes back to you with a suitcase full of clothes......instead of cheese...

(Wow, I know that's silly, and PLEASE nobody get upset about the "-oholic" statement.... I respect the programs and was just making light jokes!)

THHHHHHHHAT'S ALL, FOLKS!!!!!!!

She will be fine I am sure and if she has not yet become addicted to Wisconsin Cheese then I don't believe she will succumb at this stage in her life.

It is Sweet that you miss her but I am sure that she will come back the same woman she was when she left. have faith and patience my good friend.

Probably, she has been in the boonies and there is no phone service. Cell phone don't work either in the wilderness. She didn't die from cheese consumption. The only bad side effects from cheese is constipation.
