Everyone in highschool is so ready to grow up?

I feel like Im one of the only girls my age who gets a serious boyfriend but isnt all ready to grow up and have sex and do **** and stuff like that. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost eleven months and hes like "your almost sixteen im almost seventeen and we don't have sex", as if its this thing your suppose to do after you date for a certain amount of time.

I still wanna be a kid. I like thats so raven and the suite life of zach and cody, and scavenger hunts, and sleeping with my stuffed animals, and parties where you hang out and don't have to get drunk. Everyyyyone is in such a rush to grow up. whyy?

I could not wait to be 21 so I could buy liquor legally. it was so over rated. I got laid at 15, again, too soon. take your time hun. do only what you feel is right. Now im 39 and wonder where the hell did all the time go.

You're completely right. Why rush to adulthood? It's not all it's cracked out to be! But it's hard for your boyfriend to not have sex with you because he is a teenager and that's all teenage boys have on the brain, plus he's surrounded by people who are doing it. Just keep that in mind. He's probably not a bad guy (he's waited 11 months afterall) he's just normal. But stick to your principles. You are the one that has to live with yourself at the end of the day. One day, you'll be ready and until then, enjoy being a kid. It's the most precious time of life.

I naturally grew up fast, before high school. It depends on what you go through. Stay young princess. Don't have sex yet. You should watch the music video "S.E.X." on Yahoo music by "Lyfe Jennings". However, you should take on some responsiblity when you are already 16 but just like a job or something. Perhaps you've never had to grow up quick. That's a blessing (in a way i am not sure if you quite understand).

I'm like u..and I'm saving myself for marriage- i refuse 2 b in a relationship just to be in a relationship- I know every1 is having sex - they think they have 2 once they get into high school...n tell ur boyfriend..relationships aren't all about sex and tell him to give his dick a rest like geez- watch it fall off- he better not b the type 2 pressure u..or that's a sure sign 2 get out of that relationship

don't worry about it. the kids in my high school have two to three different girls/guys in one year. they pretty much break up after they have sex. I do an advice column for our school newspaper and i get lots of questions. I'm supposed to write about a few in the paper and the others I have to reply to. everything I get is Confidential. some girls just never grow up and they'll get divorced five-six times before they decide to just give it up or just date someone.

I'm 21, married and i still watch kids shows. Why worry what everyone else is doing just enjoy life, enjoy being young. I love the disney channel, i like to watch phil of the future also.

Sounds to me like you have a good head on your shoulders and he is trying to fit in with the crowd that thinks sex is the most important thing in life, be yourself and you will get alot farther in life. CONGRATS for being in control of yourself

cuz its better to grow up...some people are grown up but still don't really act their age..I can take somepeople for an instance...my ex...yeah...i can give ya him...he likes ponys...something interesting...cute..but...idk...he's a little weird. I love him still and he's my friend...but he's mad at me...i regret that. but o-well.
I am mature, but im also goofy and funny. Thats me. I don't sleep with stuffed animals...I may have had sex...or not..but im mature. Im grown up. I don't sleep with stuffed animals...im sure my man doesn't...I know this...my ex...ah...who knows...maybe!

i understand totally. im almost 15 and my boy friend is almost 17 and i know hes had sex and might be expecting it from me. but i dont really want to. and im not gonna until i do. if u dont want to then tell him and if he wont accept that then u just wasted 11 months to be frank. but dont let yourself be pressured into it. i have been pressured to and im younger than you so i think you should be ok. whatever you do,make it your decision and no one elses.

maybe you are a little bit afraid of growing up, but thats ok. if you aren't erady to have sex is okay, just tell your boygfriend what you feel, if he really loves you hell understand if he don't just throw him away, he don't worth it.
