I was an unbeliever most of my life. I received the Holy Spirit and everything changed. I wasn't talked into it and I was actually alone. I wasn't even in a church. It happened so quickly but felt longer. Ever since I have a unbelievable love for Jesus. That is why I hear everyone analyzing the Bible and intellectualizing the "beliefs" but it is of the spirit.

The spiritual is a whole other way of seeing life. spirituality and religion are not the same. They can go together but do not always. This is my experience I am not saying it is everyone else's.

Why does everyone think I am superior? I have never thought that in my life. If anything I think we are all wonderful and precious(yes I said precious). Every person has unique talents and things to bring to humanity. I am sorry if my experience angers you. I didn't mean it that way.

This is what I believe....You receive the holy spirit by faith in heavenly father and his son. It's his way of confirming the truth to you.

I don't think your superior. I, like you, have testimony of the holy spirit. They think the same thing of me also. Don't listen to people that say mean things like that to you. Endure to the end and you shall have your reward in heaven.

Many people don't believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I had an Baptist uncle that thought it was satanic. Those that have a real relationship with the Lord and ask to receive the Hly Spirit will. That is a primise God made and He will keep.

However, not everyone receives the same experience. Some speak in tongues, others have the lord speak through them, others receive different gifts such as healing, word of knowledge, word of wisdom,... Not everyone will speak in tongues but will receive the Holy Spirit as God sees a need.

1Co 7:7 Yet I would that all men were even as I myself. Howbeit each man hath his own gift from God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Hello dear sister,

Remember this: the aroma of Christ to those being saved is life to life. But to those who are perishing it is death to death.

Your words carry the essence of the Holy Spirit and to those who have turned away become angry because it is offensive. You speak love and love only. It hurts so much when we are rejected. It hurts too knowing reality: they do not reject YOU, dear sister, but He who is in you. How can they hate Him so is beyond me....Quick story, i have a friend/tutor who will be here in a few minutes whom, when i have him interpret/read scripture for me he gets all glowy and even moved, watery eyes and loss of speech; but when i tell him that Jesus loves him he gets cold and distant and closes down like no other time. Why? I do not understand!

What a convenient way out -- "analyzing" and "intellectualizing" are not allowed. How typical of religion!

Yes, because we have to be baptist with water as well as the Spirit!

Congratulations, glad you're happy -- but please don't project your dreams on others.

(Bet you also think you're a little superior to all those poor slobs who haven't received 'the Holy Spirit -- don't ya?)
