Ehh, so far the other answerers are correct. But....
I have been hearing a lot of commentary online from folks to the effect that America is a bit too much of a menace to the rest of the planet, and that some people wouldn't mind *walling Americans in* so to speak. :(
Never mind that the menace is from our politicians or our CEOs, oh no, throw the baby out with the bathwater too and blame the citizens as well. **snort** Why not? The whole developing world sees us as the "Great Satan" and would have us all dead as stones anyway, right?
Bleah. I don't want to believe that someday soon we won't be allowed to leave the borders (for say, purposes of debt imprisonment) but it wouldn't shock me if the usual suspects didn't have that sort of dirty trick up their sleeves....
I mean you do realize that our conservative politics is beginning to make Ebeneezer Scrooge from _A Christmas Carol_ (Dickens), look like a "dirty lib", you know? Really. Are there not enough *workhouses* for those SuperDome "refugees"? That sorta crap....

Some interviews with US soldiers previously stationed on the border illuminated the security measures were the same used elsewhere in the world to keep people in. Wouldn't suprise me, our country was built on the foundation of distrust of any government (that's why they wanted to keep to it small - its easier to watch that way).

i think that the nat'l guard is tryin to keep them in because a couple months ago the usa gov. told mexico where the minute men are
