CSS QUESTIOn?

How do I edit an already made .css file and save a copy of it and NOT change the original source. I'm using dreamweaver8 and the .css files I made are not working with the layout in the .css file I was given so I'm trying to edit the .css file I was given, but when I save it of course the code I was given changes to the edited file, so how do I save the edited versions as copies?
Please help!!

Use File->Save As in dreamweaver and save it under a different file name.
