Perfect religion before God is helping the orphans, widows, etc... and keeping self from sinful living. That is the only verse I know in the bible on religion. There is a lot of verses on faith though.
The good news of Christ is that He made a way for us to be reconciled to God. That means relationship with God, where we can come to the throne of grace 24/7 because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Salvation is the free gift of God, through faith & not by works. Religion is too much a set of rules for an order in the church. Many of the rules are man made.
Jesus came to fulfill the law & prophets. To obey the law, one needs the love of God in their hearts & that love flows out to others. To love God & others is the essence of the 10 commandments.
I am not under the law of sin & death, I am under Grace of God.
To gather together with the Saints especially when one sees the age of Christ nearing, is an act of obedience to the God one loves. To praise God in worship/praise service is an act of obedience to the God one loves. Faith comes by hearing, & hearing a word about Christ/God. One washes in the Word of God and is renewed in the Spirit & mind in obedience to the God one loves.
It is written to declare the Good News to everyone that it be published & preached in all nations. Then the end shall come (Jesus is coming back soon).

This is true of Christ and Christians. Religion, at least as we know the word deals with the works of man, (rituals, rules, and rites). Christianity is the "direct" relationship of a human being with their Creator, God. This has been made possible and available to everyone through the Man/God Jesus Christ. By His Spirit each believer can communicate continually and forever as God's children.
This is much higher and infinitely more intimate than religion.

That is an interesting interpretation of the Bible. I bet the Bible quoting cockroaches will crawl out of the woodwork with this one, particularly the ones that want you to pay them ten percent and additional selected free will offerings that they highly and emphatically recommend for Christ sake so they can tune up the Benz.

Religion, as we know it and use it today, is not what Lord God had in mind when He created us. He created us to praise Him and have a RELATIONSHIP Him. This is what so many people fail to understand or grasp. It is a personal Father/child relationship.
Religion is what happened to this special relationship when Man tried to place himself in the more important role instead of being the child.

God is beyond religion. Doesnt need to believe. Humans do need the structure and order to have faith and show respect and love in different ways and methods. Religion is hard to define, one could be religare that means to ligare or link to someone Divine, there is no one superior to God.
Can God be imperfect?

yeah I don't believe in religion...a set of beliefs believed and practiced by group of people small or large. but it's not to say I don't believe in God. True religion is helping others in need. Religion separates people because each declares that he's right when I think somebody else's beliefs are just as relevant as his. With hate we get separated but with love we get united regardless you believe in God or not.

Well there is a big difference in religion and being a follower of Christ.I guess a-lot of different religions bump heads and maybe that's what it means. If we all would just be obedient and not worry so much about denominations,it might be easier.

All Gods are against Religions.
All Religions are against Religions.
All Religions dont consider themselves as Religions but consider themselves as teachings. Neither Gods will admit them as Gods, cos they are here to give teachings to his/her followers. Never a God will openly tell you that he/she is a God. If so, no point calling him/her God.

If I were God, I would be very unhappy with everyone who practiced religion. In to my heaven they would not go. I would want to be surrounded by people with their own mind and free thought. If I wanted robots I would have created them.
