I have curly hair and it just poofs out if I don't put anything in it. I'm looking for a hair product that'll help my hair define it's curls, but I don't want it to leave my hair hard (like gel) but soft and shiny. Help?

I find that a leave-in conditioner works best to tame the puffiness of curly. If you want ringlets, try curly them around your finger section by section. My hair is curly, but the ringlets spread everywhere and anyways they want. It's nice to have them defined and this really helped me. I get compliments every so often too.

I don't know much about products - I have extremely curly hair but I try not to put anything into it - but I used to have really poofy, fuzzy hair like yours, it sounds like. At the advice of a stylist, I stopped washing my hair every day and instead do it every other day, sometimes every two days. Its soo much healthier for my hair and made it look so much more managable!

Gurl I know how u feel i have curly hair...Lol dnt let my avatar fool u!
Well Take a shower and comb ur hair really good, then dry with a towel and then put some defrizzer and conditioner and ur set....I have really thick shoulder length hair and that works....but the frizz does creep out sometimes no matter what.

I use Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal shampoo and conditioner. towel dry and comb my hair out then rub in some "soft start" curl defining comb in treatment also by Pantene. It works great.

Also try John Freida frizz control spray and shampoos... They work well too.

Biosilk makes a smoothing lotion that really helps with the frizzies! After your hair is dry there is another great product called "after party" by bed head and it smells awesome- a little goes a long way!

I would suggest the pantene pro-v hydrating curls shampoo, conditioner, and serum.
Plus, I would get a hair dryer with a difuser.
It's gentler on your hair, and wont rip apart the curls.

Go to a Beauty Supply Store and look for a hair mosturizer. It will leave your curls in tact and they won't get frizzy.

Try a silicone based gel, or ask your stylist for tips on how to maintain your hair. Also, try to trim an inch every few weeks to maintain healthy hair!
