I remember one time I went about 4 pm. and little did I know what awaited me. The lions were getting in on. they were going roar roar RAAAAA roaor.

HAHAHA!!!! seems like everytime I go to BUsh Gardens the tortises are doin "it"......LOL they always are grunting VERY loud!!!

I was at the zoo with a bunch of little kids, while we were watching an Anaconda the keepers threw in a live rabbit. The snake wasted no time strangling the rabbit. I can still hear the screams from the 5 year olds, it was horrible.

Yeh when I was 3 I was at the zoo with my family and the Paddlepop Lion chased me and I screamed and it is a horriffic memory. Paddlepop Lions still scare me.
The Paddlepop Lion is a person dressed up in a comical lion suit who hands out "paddlepops" - icecreams - HOW SCARY IS THAT!!! (to a 3 year old!!!)

I remember when a gorilla had a potatoe sack and he would dip it in the water and ball it up and "pick" one person in the crowd watching him to throw it at. People would throw it back to him and he would slowly go about soaking it, balling it up, and would stop every now and then to look directly AT the person he was going to throw it at next. After about 5 throws...the zookeeper took the sack away from him.

i went to zoo camp and one of the counselors got peed on by a male lion. it was pretty memorable all right

I got licked by a giraffe. It had this really bumpy black tongue that stuck it all over my face. I was four years old at the time, so imagine how much that would creep out somebody at that age.

Of course there are always the monkeys or baboons picking at eachothers hind ends with small children watching and asking why is that monkey doing that!!!!!

we were watching this hippo get out of the water and walk towards us then it turned it's butt at us and made a huge fart. It was loud and STANKAY!

OMG! I got spit on by a llama. I was just asking my mom what kind of noise they make. She said "well they don't really make a noise but they spit" I looked up at it in disgust....and it spit on me!
