Maybe they're not giving him access to a telephone? Maybe he's in solitary? Maybe he's been badly injured in a fight? Maybe their crappy prison medical system has managed to let him get seriously ill? Who knows? Have you tried contacting his parents, close friends, or lawyer?

Either he embarrased or he has someone else. When people are in jail they dont want to be alone so please beleive he would be calling you or writing you or at least asking you for something. Since he aint asking you he is asking someone else.
