All depends on the traveler. But you don't have anything to worry about... Flying is fun. Just be sure to bring a book or ipod of some other type of entertainment. If you keep yourself occupied time will fly.
As far as actually on the airplane, motion sickness would be worse, as Jet Lag is how you feel after you hop time zones, if you aren't going really really far you shouldn't have a problem with Jet Lag. If you are worried about motion sickness or just want the whole experience to be as painless as possible, I would suggest taking some Dramamine along. This always does the trick for me.
Happy Travels!

You're going to love the flight. Apprehension is a slight feeling of "the unknown". So, let's review what you probably do know and perhaps add to your list.
1. You'll be on the safest means of travel (just strap in and relax).
2. You'll enjoy small but comfortable seats, as well as toilets.
3. Air conditioning and heat are just right (they'll even offer you a blanket/pillow).
4. The aircrew are there just for your safety.
5. They will review all safety procedures for you and provide a written copy in the seat back in front of you.
6. There are some noises on takeoff when the tires are retracted and other equipment is in transit.
7. Some people do experience motion sickness, but rarely, and there are bags for your use in the seat back (queasy feelings are not fun, but they don't last forever).
8. Jet lag is just being tired (after you arrive). Your body is trying to adjust after an international flight where one takes off in one time zone) and landing in a different zone....avoiding alcohol, caffeine, and drinking lots of water can help. Your body is tired but it's like staying up late and then getting up early in the morning, not to worry.
9. Say to yourself....I'm going to have a super time, what an adventure! (Repeat as necessary)
10. Remember, you're flying with the best, most professional pilots in the world.
Cheers

Motion sickness is worse, but you can prevent them both.
They sell motion sickness drugs for airplane or boat rides. There are many, so just go to a Jewel, Osco, whatever is by you, and ask the pharmacist.
For Jet Lag, this occurs if you are going over time changes. Sleep on the plane if where you are going to be is day, or stay away if possible so you can sleep when you get in if it's going to be night. Drink lots of water, and nix out alcohol and caffine 24 hrs before your flight, and don't drink any caffine or alcohol during the fight.

Jet lag, because I don't get motion sickness. But the last time I flew to Hawaii, I was up at 3 AM and ready for bed at 6 PM. By the time i got adjusted i was on a plane back to California.

Motion sickness lasts only while you're onboard. Jet lag for days. Where are you going? You may not have jet lag from your trip, and you probably won't get motion sickness either. Flights are smooth and have less rocking and swaying than other modes of transportation.

First off, don't worry about it you'll be fine. Second, motion sickness I'd imagine though I've never actually gotten it. Jet lag really isn't all that bad and is usually only noticable for the first day at your destination, if that.

I would figure motion sickness to be worse than
