How do I change my pictures to fit the right size when uploading them onto a web-site?

It keeps telling me file need to be smaller than 600 something or what program do I need to do so.Thank you

You can easily do that using picture editing software. If you have Windows, you already have such a program, named "MS Paint".

Assuming you have Windows, you can launch MS Paint using the start menu:
1) Click Start
2) Click All Programs
3) Click Accessories
4) From the list of programs, choose Paint

(Make sure you have a backup copy of your original picture file, in case you make a mistake).

Once you've launched MS Paint, use it to open your picture file. From the Paint menu, choose
1) Image
2) Stretch/Skew

That will launch a dialog that allows you to stretch your picture. (Note that stretching is the same thing as shrinking if you specify a percentage less than 100% - effectively you are stretching it negatively).

On the dialog, under "Stretch", set the Horizontal and Vertical values so that they will re-size your picture to the desired size (a little algebra helps here).

If you can't do the algebra, try entering 50% Horizontal and 50% Vertical, and see what that does to your picture. You can determine the results of your stretching operation by utilizing the Attributes dialog, which tells you the current size of your picture. If you don't like the new size, just use the Undo command.

Finally, save your modified picture and upload it to the site you want.

Stupidity is not the adjective I would use to describe what your ex has done. She is a moron and a dangerous one at that to have put your children at risk in that way. I would immediately advise the police that this has been done so hopefully they could keep a check on the school to ensure no paedophiles are lurking. If further details such as your or the children's if they have their own, email and IM addresses should be changed, you should install more child protection facilities onto your computer. I am assuming your ex used yoru computer, or if she has her own, somehow you must gain access and remove any images of your children so she can not use them further. Other than that, others have given good advice. On re-reading your message do I deduce that as you were together 15 years and the fact that the children are so young, they are her children too? If so, she is doubly a moron and unfit to be a mother.

THe file size is too big. Use your editing program to adjust the sizing. Or change it to JPG (if is not already) which uses compression.

you are going to have use a graphic editor program, como coreldraw, photoshop, or fireworks and "optimize" the pic, or even resize it, because by making it smaller, and reducing the resolution, it should make it smaller...
