Carbs are always a good meal before a game, but it needs to be way before. If the game is in the afternoon a high carb breakfast or early lunch will do, they give you some great energy. Many of my runner friends, while having a run in the mornings will have a big carb dinner the nite before. Just be sure you have plenty of time to digest.
I assume you've been practicing for your game? I don't know which kind it is, so can't help much there. Be sure to drink loads of water, and Gatorade. If you're playing a longer game than an hour you'll need the electrolytes, so be sure to take some of this.
You'll definitely need to be warmed up before you play your sport, perhaps walking, then lite jogging to warm up your major muscles.

Always stretch!! I was told there's something in chocolate that's good also, so I would have a portion of a Hershey's bar before a basketball game. Ginseng is suppose to give you instant energy today!!
