The company is "LG" from South Korea. True, their current slogan is "Life's Good" but the LG name comes from the merger between two big Korean companies a few years back: Lucky and Goldstar (remember seeing Goldstar TV sets and VCR's in the stores).

They basically make everything - cell phones, fridges, tvs, etc., etc.

as far as i noe, lg uses insignia as the brand exclusively for future shop.
