Yes,you're right. Jesus has been making the rounds as the Grim
Reaper for two thousand years now. That's why he wears the hood up. He doesn't want anyone to recognize him and freak out.
Can't fool you,huh?

Christ either rose from the grave or he didn't. Lets consider the following:
1. The Roman guards later said that while THEY WERE SLEEPING ( a death penalty offense) the apostles stole the body. Yet instead of being punished they were bought off.
2. The apostles were too afraid to do anything! They cowered in a room and sent women to the tomb. These guys had not yet witnessed the risen Jesus so were too timid to do anything.
3.Even if Jesus had merely gone into shock and later revived he could not have been able to roll a stone some 50" in diameter away from the entrance.
4. From both Roman and Christian accounts Jesus was seen by several thousand peole after his arose. Not all of these were believers.
5. People will sacrifice their life for a lie..... but not if they know it is a lie unless compelled to do so. In the case of these early Christians they had a choice of renouncing Jesus and being left unharmed OR be killed in various barbaric ways.
6. Saul, later known as Paul, was converted when he came face to face with the risen Lord. Here was a man who had the finest Hebrew training plus a good Roman education and had spent years tormenting Christians. Yet he was able to accept what he saw and ended up paying for it with his life.
If the case for the risen Christ were brought before any impartial jury the verdict would be in His favor. I suggest you read a book entitled "Evidence That Demands A Verdict." Also a book entitled "The Christians As The Romans Saw Them"

Jesus defeated death, right? Right
That makes him the Grim Reaper? Wrong
The Mighty Conqueror took the Power from the foe? Right

He took the keys of death and hell and He rent the veil between God and man. It pays to have more than a glib understanding of who Jesus is.

To put it as simply as I can:

HE TOOK THE KEYS, NOT THE JOB.

Jesus proved through his life that LIFE is eternal and there is nothing called death. Its just a concept created by the limited perception of human beings who cannot comprehend the body falling away when the soul has completed its Divine agenda on each earthy passing.

Love,Life,God.....these three words are eternal & interchageable.

no- intresting point but no. i think your combining to different philosophies. You've got the Christians who believe Jesus defeated death and you've got the ? who believe in the grim reaper. and Jesus doesn't take power from the dead, he is all powerful we just chose to recognize that or to ignore it.

What makes you think Jesus really defeated death, and it not some elaborate hoax that has continued through the centuries to control the masses anyway?

yes. Jesus holds death but death will come and then the day of judgement will come. This means that everyone will die and one day He will judge us and then He will reward us for accepting him or not and He will cast the nonbeliever into the lake of fire where the devil and his followers will also be cast oh and the false prophet will also be there and there is no party but the pain and suffering will be everlasting---all eternity.
