When you propose some idea of a software to a company, which can improve its productivity, then how can you assure that the company cannot use that idea, by making the software by some other cheaper means?

Contact the US Copyright Office. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $45 per application.

Despite what others state, a "poor man's" copyright is NOT the same as registering it. Here's what the US Copyright Office has to say:

"The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a 'poor man’s copyright.' There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration."

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Copyrights are protectable BEFORE you go to the company, not after. Once you "propose" an idea, without any sort of proof, you have nothing to prove that this idea came from y ou. Even an Email can be poor proof of such conversations.

Call a Copyright lawyer to be sure.

software copyright(c)..

90% company is stealing our idea in software development.

my solution is :
I put a good name for my technology..
example :
Lately i have one idea how to make software is faster for downloading the rss. I go to local ISV, and i told him i got that think (in brief), and later I called my tech is intellisearch.. So there i don't tell my whole idea. just a part of introduction, the positives, and the name of my idea. thats all....

agreed? don't agree? u can ask me more..
