Start off with a Cesar salad with Blue Cheese dressing, Then a plate of escargots or a doz. raw oysters. Follow this with French Onion soup, then a BBQ fillet mignon steak with baked potato and all the trimmings with a side of sauteed mushrooms. Then Baked Alaska. After that a fine port with 5 cheeses and a good Havana cigar. That's what I have every Thursday. (However if you're a female substitute the cigar for a deluxe Corona cigarette)

Well, it's summer so you want something nice and light, something you don't have to cook too long. How about a chef salad, maybe with some bread & butter or garlic toast:
Chef's Salad
1 – head lettuce
4 – ounces cooked ham, julienne cut
4 – ounces cooked chicken, julienne cut
4 – ounces cooked turkey, julienne cut
4 – ounces cooked roast beef, julienne cut
4 – ounces Sharp Cheddar Cheese, julienne cut
4 – ounces Swiss Cheese, julienne cut
4 – ounces Provolone Cheese, julienne cut
4 - hard boiled eggs, sliced in half
1/4 - cup ripe olives
1/4 - cup crotons
16 – ounces salad dressing, (your choice)
In 4 large salad bowls, divide the head of lettuce. Add 1-ounce each of ham, chicken, turkey, roast beef, cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and Provolone. Place a hard-boiled egg around the salad bowl. Garnish with the ripe olives and crotons. Allow those enjoying the Chef’s Salad to add their choice of salad dressings.
Makes 4 servings.
And for dessert- Strawberry Shortcake
Bisquick biscuits:
2 1/3 cups Bisquick baking mix
3 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
3 Tbsp sugar
The strawberry shortcake biscuit recipe used to be on the side of the Bisquick box. For some unfathomable reason, the company has started to print the recipe on the inside of the box. Talk about not understanding your customers! If you can't find the recipe, here it is:
Heat oven to 425°F. Stir baking mix, melted butter, milk, and 3 Tbsp of sugar in a mixing bowl until soft dough forms. Drop by 6 spoonfuls on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 6 biscuits.
Strawberries and whipping cream:
3 baskets of fresh strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
Whipping cream
Vanilla
Remove the stems from the strawberries. Slice into thin (1/4" to 1/8") slices. Put into a large bowl. Add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of sugar (depending on how sweet the strawberries are to begin with) and mix into the strawberries. Set aside at room temperature to macerate (which means that the sugar will soften the strawberries and help release their juices).
After the strawberries have been sitting for 20 minutes or so, take a potato masher and mash them a little. Not too much, just enough to get more juice out of them.
Whip the cream, adding a drop or two of vanilla and a teaspoon of sugar.
To serve, break up one biscuit per person into big pieces into a bowl. Ladle strawberries over the biscuit. Add a dolop of whipped cream.

Well, that's a week away & you could easily change your mind by then, but it sounds as if you are choosing for a family? I don't
know what kind of food you like, but here goes. Why don't you
make bacon ,lettuce & tomatoe sandwiches. Tomatoes are
plentiful right now. You could make a desert or have mellon.

try brown sugar and terriyaki chicken. it is amazing!
you can go to foodnetwork.com and they will probably have a recipe for you.
im not good at giving recipes but all you really need is chicken thighs, maybe a 1/2 cup of brown sugar, terriyaki sauce, and just put that in a pot on the stove and let it cook for about 2 hours and it gets super moist and delishhh. my father actually made it up lol but i hope you like it!

One of the best things I have eaten recently was a Peanut butter Chicken stirfry. It included vegetables, peanuts, peanut butter, and chicken. Great stuff.
Chili is also an excellent meal to have at any time.

If you live alone, a small round cornmeal crust pizza would be sufficient. Maybe a Hummus sandwich, slice of watermelon or even a bowl of yogurt.
