I'm not sure how you'd define a multi-family homeschool - one person teaching kids from several families ALL their subjects? Or each family taking responsibility for a different subject for all the kids (that's a co-op)? Co-ops are definitely legal (we've seen and attended several). Not sure about the other situation, but, as someone has already said, Texas is pretty easy as far as regulation is concerned, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out it is legal. BTW - there are no forms to file. You just have to 'start' by the time the child is 6 yo.

HSLDA is the place to start.

I would imagine so. Texas is the, or one of the, easiest places to homeschool in. You simply file yourself as a private school, from what I understand, and that's it.
