My friend has one! Very cute darling things! Her was small, normal Shih Tzu size, a curving tail, no shedding WHATSOEVER, and a tendency to love and lick people! The only difference from a purebred Shih Tzu is not much, really...but maybe the fur texture??? I would highly suggest getting one. (Purebred's don't shed either and are very friendly and smart. I have a Shih Tzu and he knows four tricks. He got sit down in two days!)

Lhasa Apso Shitzu Mix

There's no such thing. it's either Llahsa Appso, or Shitzu, otherwise it's a mutt. If you want a mutt go to a shleter and adopt a dog, there's plenty short breeds that do not shed, and Lhasa Apso's don't really shed that much on their own(some types). Also Chinese Cresteds don't really shed much either. There's also many curly haired breeds as well.

You may have been misinformed. Shitzus are fairly agressive and are known to bite. Their teeth are very small and usually won't break skin. Lhasa Apsos are more timid and are generally non-biters. Both breeds will shed, however, the Lhaso less so than the Shitzu.

Lhasa Apsos and Shih Tzu's are two different breeds, but they look a lot alike. Both have kind of pushed in faces, are short and long, and have a tail that curls over their back. Their hair continues to grow and you have to comb it a lot or keep them clipped short. Lhasas tend to be more aloof with people and Shih Tzu's tend to be very friendly. They lose hair, but don't shed much.

I have a Lhasa Shitzu. He doesn't shed, and he is very friendly. Mine is mostly white with brown spots (think Gizmo the gremlin, which is he name) He is about 20 lbs, has a kind of smushed face, and a curly tail.

Do your research. I'm certain that your criteria is going to be a bit more refined than to just say, "I want a new dog that looks nice and doesn't shed".

If you want to know what a certain mix might typically look like, go to Petfinder.com and search by dog breed.

Then, do some more research.

When you are done that, research some more.

When you've finally decided what type of dog you are prepared to make a life-long (read: 10-20 year) commitment, go to your pound, SPCA, Humane Society, Rescue group or back to PetFinder.com to adopt a homeless pet.

Practice birth control, not death control.

Spay or neuter your pet.

there isn't a lot of difference between the two breeds. I had a shitzu and he was very friendly and good with kids. They don't shed, but you have to constantly groom them and trim around their back-sides. Good choice for a dog over-all

well that would be a combination of a shitzu & a lhasa apso - both are very similar (small dog long hair) very cute & usually very friendly.
