Safety is NUMBER ONE... I can handle a cut knee, but I did not protect my child every second of every day for 4 years to hand them over to a stranger who *might* be half as viligant as I am, and have my child abducted. Any outside area MUST be well enclosed, well supervised, and inaccessible to public areas.

Can't have safety without numbers....

While the curriculum is not important in the sense of education, I do want to know the curriculum is appropriate and acceptable to me for my child.

If the school was not encouraging parent involvement, it would be a red warning flag to me.

Of course qualifications are important, otherwise I'd pay a babysitter instead.

Diverse group of kids

policies on holidays - (personally i would like to celebrate all - even if there are no kids that celebrate that holiday at home to promote diversity - my nephew is currently in a day care run by a Jehovah Witness who does not allow any holidays as her way of "promoting diversity" - i think it squishes it)
