They were black and ugly. They force your eyes to do the work not your glasses as your eyes get lazy and your prescriptions get stronger with each eye test.

These do not strengthen your eye muscles. The pinhole does not improve or relax your eyes. It simply minimizes abberations coming from stray light rays. It's the reason that squinting termporarily helps people who are nearsighted see better; decrease the aperture size and less stray light rays get through the pupil. This is not a solution to improving your eyesight.
Eye doctors use pinholes when someone has decreased visual acuities (especially when the eye is infected or injured) to see if it is possible for it to see better with correction.

Usually there's a type of plastic curve fake-eye that goes in there to replace the eye. But as a joke I would totally put olives in there to weird out people or those springing eyes from the gag toys.
