I am not certain about this, but I think I read that hamburgers
were originated in Hamburg Germany, thus the name hamburger.
If this isn't acurate then surely they could have come up with a better name? The burger part doesn't even sound too good does it?

hamburgers are named for Hamberg, Germany, not for "ham". That's really cute that you aksed that! lol

HAMBURGERS WERE INVENTED IN HAMBURG, GERMANY. THEY WERE NAMED AFTER THEIR HOME TOWN.
