The bible is true and i heard that they found old dead sea animals in canyon im on sure if it was the grand canyon but there had been no records of a flood there other than the worldwide flood. so that proves the the flood happened which means the bible is real. also if you live in america (which i would assume you do saying this is the american part of yahoo answers) your home was founded by Christians. if you have ever been to Washington DC then you saw all of the bible verses on the monuments and memorials there. there is so much proof of Christianity around us and its so sad that not everyone believes. And evolution cannot be fully proved since they have not found any evidence of the "in between stages" of an ape turning into a human when they once said that there was a creature that was not quite an ape and not quite a human. there are missing links in evolution while everthing is there if you believe in the Holy Bible

Actually scientists have found that there was a flood of the Dead Sea around that time period, which would have flooded all of the world that Moses knew of. When this book was written it was before people knew how big the world was. It was what God revealed to his people. So what they wrote was true. Once again do you know exactly how many types of animals were in the area that Noah was. He was in a desert. People got their water by collecting dew on trays in the morning. There couldn't have been many animals. Besides how would God test who really believed in him with all their heart if he left nothing up for speculation. Christianity is all about faith. I hope you will find it.

My question is how can you really believe in evolution, aren't there still monkeys? Why did only some of them evolve?

The Bible is a Theological Book. It is not suppose to document the History of Man. It is to provide a foundation for Faith. The Bible is believed to be written by men who were inspired by God. Man cannot comprehend many things like God can. So when it was written it was not meant to be taken literally. Just take Genesis. Chapter one has got create the world and then created man last. In Chapter two, there is a second craetion story where God creates man first, and then creates the plants and animals and stuff.

Now taken literally, the two stories contradict each other. However, looking at the stories theologically, both stories agree that Man is important and special. The first author showed that man was special by making God save the best for last. The other author showed God create Man first to show that the important things come first.

Exactly, there would never be a flood that large, and even if there was, the combined weight of everything on that ship wouldn't have sunk it maybe, but at least set its balance akward. When a wave hit that boat, it would have tipped right over on its side. And that ship had to take how long to build to even fit that many animals in the first place....the flood would have gotten to him before he even built that boat.

because archaeologists have found many of the artifacts the Bible speaks of. and we have FAITH that its true...have you ever read it? it might change your life. scientists have actually found evidence of a major flood in different parts of the earth. God fit all of those animals in the ark, thats how that happened. Only God would be able to. He works in mysterious ways.

It's a test of faith. It's not fair to say that science proves that there was no flood b/c God doesnt play by the rules of science. I firmly believe in the stories of the Bible.

Good questions all. May I suggest that you attend Bible classes at your local college or university. Those professors are open minded and objective. Many young students asked your same questions and the instructors provided proper professional, logical, and educated responses. Good luck!!

The Bible wasn't written by God. It was written by man and as all humans, we have a natural tendency to exaggerate. I believe there is a God but you have to be cautious of how you interpret what is written in the Bible
