Good Question, John. However, there are different kinds of judgement: Judgement/condemnation and then judgement/discernment or evaluation. We are expected to make the second judgement/discernment, but avoid the first.

That is true. I asked a question today, and I was judgemental, rude, opinionated, and worse than the people I was talking about. I have to admit after reading some of the answers, even from non-believers, I realized my mistake and I apologize to everyone and ask God to forgive me. I do not intend to judge anyne again. That is God's job, and none of mine. Praise Be.

What gives man the right to interpret a 2000 year old book as the word of God. Because man is a pompous creature who thinks he is worth a damn, that if a Higher power does exist that the higher power actually gives a damn. If a higher power does exist, then we are nothing but experiment in a peitry dish, nothing more.

So if someone commits crimes or lives his life in the most destructive way possible for those around him,we just leave him
alone and let God handle him?
It's good not to be too judgmental, but to protect ourselves we have to judge at least a little. Let's just not get self-righteous
and enjoy it too much.

God has already judged, and written his judgements for all to read. I don't judge, but I read the judgements of God.

Correct, if you acknowledge God.

Positionally, some are placed in that role. (a judge?)
If you believe in God then you defer to those placed in authority. If not, survival of the fittest is the the best way to deal with anarchy.... ??

We made god in our own ego image and we use god to project our judgments outward. Therefore, both man and man's projected god judge. The real god never judges.

Ultimately, it must be left to God. In the meantime, we often have to judge as His stewards. I think your quotation may mean more like, judge fairly, because you want to be judged fairly.

Correct, except where is comes to man's law. Jesus stated that we must always follow man's law during our season of mortality.

But no, you should not judge your fellow man for things that are done against you. This is not what Jesus has commanded.
